Glossary
Trim size
Trim size is the final dimensions of a printed piece after trimming. It is different from the document size before bleed and from the size of the press sheet.
Why it matters
A file built to the wrong trim size will be cropped or resized. The trim size belongs in the printer's specification and on the proof.
Example
A brochure has a trim size of 210 by 297 mm, with 3 mm of bleed on each side.
