Glossary
Crop marks
Crop marks are thin lines placed outside the trim area of a print file. They show the printer where to cut the page and are usually paired with bleed and registration marks.
Why it matters
Crop marks tell the printer where the finished edge is. A file without them, or with the wrong marks, can be trimmed incorrectly.
Example
The print PDF includes crop marks at each corner and a slug with the job name and version.
