Glossary
Slug
A slug is the margin outside the trim area of a print file. It can hold the job name, the version, the date, the colour bars and the printer marks.
Why it matters
The slug helps the printer identify the job and the version. It also keeps the production marks away from the live artwork.
Example
The PDF slug shows the client, the project, v4 and the date, with the crop marks outside the trim.
