Glossary
Scope creep
Scope creep is the expansion of a project beyond the deliverables, rounds or formats in the engagement letter. It often arrives as a series of small requests that each look reasonable on their own.
Why it matters
Scope creep erodes the studio's margin and the project timeline. The earlier it is named and estimated, the easier it is to resolve without damaging the client relationship.
Example
A brochure project adds a second language, a social campaign and two extra review rounds without a new estimate.
