Approval
Design approval is the client's decision that a specific version of a design is accepted. It should identify the approver, the version, the date and any comments that were open at the decision.
Why it matters
Approval is the gate between review and production or delivery. A vague approval leaves the studio exposed when the client later says the wrong version was used.
Example
The client approves v4 of a packaging proof on 12 March, with one comment about the barcode still open and accepted.
