Glossary
Sign-off
Sign-off is a formal acceptance of a design version. It can be a recorded approval, a signed proof or a written confirmation, and it usually names the person who accepted the work.
Why it matters
Sign-off is the studio's proof that the client accepted the version. It is especially important for print, packaging and any work with a production cost.
Example
The client signs the print proof and returns it with the date, and the studio releases the file to the printer.
