Glossary
Markup
Markup is a note, drawing or annotation added to a design proof. It can be a pin, a box, a freehand mark or a text comment, and it usually points to a specific place on the artwork.
Why it matters
Markup turns a general opinion into a specific change. The closer the mark is to the artwork, the less the designer has to guess.
Example
The client draws a box around a headline and writes that it is too small against the image.
